ABOUT XVIII

XVIII is an artistic practice by Shea Siraj and Michon Siraj, based in New Orleans.

Each work begins with an idea, place, history, or way of gathering. From there, XVIII develops a language specific to the work, working across sound, image, space, food, objects, performance, gathering, and archive.

Across the practice, Black life, intimacy, memory, and inheritance remain areas of inquiry.
